Simply Thank You Flowers - Rose & Freesia Bouquet
Tell someone you love them
Red roses are traditionally for lovers and are very popular on Valentines Day. "Valentines roses" and "red roses" go hand in hand.
Close family members may be treated to a red rose for Valentines day but we tend to avoid sending these to our friends as it may convey the wrong meaning.
Different colours, different meanings
Red roses mean romantic love; also known as Valentine roses.
Purple roses signify that the giver has fallen in love with the recipient at first sight.
Coral and orange roses signal desire, the meaning of yellow roses is joy and friendship and we express our gratitude and appreciation with pink roses
Roses are best grown in open, well ventilated areas, without too much shade. Ideally, they need sunlight for at least three quarters of the day.
Freesia
Freesia is a genus of 14-16 species of flowering plants, which are native to Africa. The genus was named in honor of Friedrich Heinrich Theodor Freese.
Freesias are among the most popular and widely grown cut flowers in the world, with over 110 million stems sold in the UK each year. In a recent F & PA survey over half the respondents rated them as one of their favourite flowers.
Unlike most other flowers, where the white forms smell most strongly, if you want highly scented freesia look for pink and red varieties.
